As we now enter the summer period some of our early stage researchers have begun their secondments. Here at the University of Kent, it is particularly quiet as both of our ESRs; Elakkiya and Teodors, are away at their beneficiary partners for their first exchange in the AMBER project.
Elakkiya Ellavarason who is doing her research in: Usability Performance Assessment of Mobile Touch-Screen Behavioural Biometrics has gone to join our AMBER project partner Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (U3CM) in Madrid. There Elakkiya will be working alongside our other ESRs who based at Madrid; Barbara and Anas under the supervision of Dr Raul Sanchez-Reillo. Elakkiya flew out to Madrid in May, and will be returning in July.
Our second ESR Teodors Eglitis is doing his research in: Continuous and Instantaneous Authentication using Mobile Devices has split his secondment across two of the AMBER partners. The first two months Teodors will be based in Rome, Italy working alongside ESRs Ridvan and Ebenezer under the supervision of Professor Patrizio Campisi at the Università degli Studi Roma TRE (UNIROMA3). In mid August Teodors will move to Warsaw, Poland to spend two months at Warsaw University of Technology (WUT). Where he will be with ESRs Jalil and Moein working under the supervision of Professor Andrzej Pacut .
The flexibility of the AMBER network has been demonstrated with changes to both timings and locations of several secondments, allowing our ESRs to get the most out of the experience.
