Today I took part in the second session for the data collection on Elakkiya Ellavarason’s research project Usability Performance Assessment of Mobile Touch-Screen Behavioural Biometrics. The study is to understand the interaction of the user with the touchscreen of a mobile device under various environmental conditions (indoors and outdoors) and body movements. I was using a device to perform basic answers to a quiz with both finger tip swiping and stylus writing whilst seated, on a treadmill, walking outdoors and on a bus. It was an great experience to take part in Elakkiya’s data collection, and I hope to share more on our other ESR’s research as the project continues.
